Pretty nice store - very new. And the patio was perfect today - a little breezy but the sun was warm. Ahhhh.

these crispy tacos are delicious. wtf was i doing for so long not eating them.

also, chipotle was closed yesterday. i went to dinner at the nearby il vicino which is a nice pizza place with a really great IPA, but noticed that every restaurant in this strip mall was open with the exception of chipotle. i wasn’t entirely sure why that was the case. on Cinco de Mayo (the closest thing to a Mexican independence day) Chipotle was open, but July 4th it’s closed. aside from giving a rest to their employees, i wonder what motivation there is to choose this holiday for vacation.

i kept looking over my shoulder for steve ells or houman iskandani after the last time i was there and i saw them.

but no sitings today. oh well. i did get a delicious bol, though.

this is a new store for me. interesting place. the outside is horrible. really horrible. it needs some serious help. i mean, how can chipotle have both the amazing store design on Colorado Blvd and also have this one?

anyway - the inside is your usual level of chipotle awesome. the seats and booths and stools are laid out in a really fun way. well done!

also, on his day2day blog, miKeSee wrote about save a life, buy a chipotle burrito. i’m not 100% sure i agree with his flow of logic, but it sure can’t hurt.

so, this morning i got a request to buy stock and i responded with a bit of a flippant point that if you need to ask you then you’re not doing something right.

well, the author of the email pointed out to me that he’s a really savvy guy. my bad.

i got a delicious burrito today and am now having a chai. what a delicious day.

they replaced the leather on some of the chairs recently so I got a photo of an updated chair with brand new leather on it.

it occurred to me that they do not seem to ever condition the leather. i wonder if putting some conditioner on the leather would help it last longer at the cost of some conditioner getting onto the butts of visitors. if it were applied sunday night and wiped off well then it should be fine…

also, the lady sitting two stools away from me at the bar had her purse on the bar. when I sat down she realized it was taking up too much space.

about the free burrito - well, i got a coupon for one in the mail the other day. i was going to use it today. but i realized that if i used it then i should get guacamole. and my partner loves guacamole. so i want to wait until i’m splitting the burrito with her. so thoughtful, i know.
